South Korean Government Launches Two K-REACH Registration Support Programs - Regulatory News - Chemicals

South Korean Ministry of Environment (MoE) has published two K-REACH registration support programs to help enterprises register under K-REACH.

To qualify for both programs they must meet the following requirements:

Substances are manufactured/imported in annual volumes of 100 to 1,000 tonnes;
Registration consortium to complete registration by November 2024;
Registration consortium has selected its only representative (OR); and
the registration consortium includes two or more SMEs that are ‘active’ members.

Program 1: Hazard Test Support

Provide financial support to enterprises for hazard test data with domestic GLP laboratories;
Provide financial support for 80%-99% of the cost where test data is produced using alternatives to animal testing, and 60-70% of the cost where general test programs are conducted (alternatives to animal testing are prioritized).
