Free Webinar: Information for Overseas Food Manufacturers Registration in China (GACC Decree No.248)

Introduction

On 12th Apr. 2021, the General Administration of Customs, P.R.China (GACC) issued the Registration and Administration of Overseas Manufacturers for Imported Foods (GACC Decree No.248), which has come into force as from 1st Jan. 2022.

From 1st Jan, 2022, food products imported into China without the GACC registration have the potential risks to be held by the local customs in China. In the past six months, there have been some updates from GACC regarding this registration obligation including the online registration system and the relevant guidance. Currently, it’s challenging for many overseas companies due to the limited time and registration process.

Intending to help companies to gain a better understanding of this regulation and fully complete the registration application, CIRS is holding a webinar to talk about GACC Decree No.248. We will show the whole process and dossiers preparations of the online registration system in this webinar.

Ran Liu, Food Regulatory Consultant in CIRS Europe

Ms. Ran Liu graduated from University College Dublin with a MEngSc degree, majoring in Food Engineering. She has an extensive background in food ingredients, regulations, and process engineering. After joining the CIRS Group, she focuses on food, health food, and Foods for Special Medical Purpose (FSMP). She currently works for CIRS Europe and is responsible for providing food regulatory technical support for the European food and food-related companies.
