At CIRS we pride ourselves on holding regular training events to provide our clients, partners, and members of the regulatory sector with the most up-to-date knowledge and developments in the ever-expanding field of international regulations. In the autumn edition of our global cosmetic webinar series, we will be focusing on the key regulatory issues affecting the cosmetic industry we will be comparing the requirements in the EU, UK, China, and South Korea.
In recent years at CIRS we have seen a dramatic increase in the demand for knowledge in cosmetic regulatory changes, particularly in regards to Asia. As a result, in 2023 we hosted our first Global Cosmetics Regulation Conference to provide a platform for companies to learn more about their obligations in the ever-changing regulatory landscape. Due to the overwhelmingly positive feedback we received from the attendees on how insightful, and beneficial they found both the presentations as well as the opportunity to network with other professionals in the industry, we took the decision to make this an annual event. The aim of the conference is to bring together professionals from the cosmetics industry and provide them with the opportunity to network, share experiences and best practices, and discuss the challenges and opportunities they currently face.
Cosmetorium 2023, a pivotal event in the European cosmetic industry's calendar, is fast approaching, and we are pleased to announce Julie Harrington, a senior regulatory consultant from CIRS Europe, is one of the featured presenters.
At the November 21, Global Cosmetics Regulatory Summit 2023, hosted by Chemical Watch, industry professionals will have the opportunity to gain insights from Bryan Zhou, deputy general manager of CIRS Europe. He will be addressing a crucial subject that impacts the global cosmetics industry – China's cosmetic ingredient submission process.
On November 15, CIRS Europe will provide members of Chemical Watch with a specialized training session focused on cosmetics regulations in China and South Korea, covering both cosmetic ingredients and finished products.
CIRS Group is to hold a free webinar to the interprete the "Registration and Listing of Cosmetic Product Facilities and Products: Guidance for Industry" on September 6-7, 2023. This webinar will introduce the latest developments in US cosmetics regulations to enterprises exporting cosmetic products to the United States and assisting enterprises in preparing for regulatory compliance as soon as possible.
The first webinar in this series will delve into the important aspects of the Cosmetic Ingredients Database (CosIng) and the International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients (INCI) lists. We will explore how these lists function, their significance in cosmetics formulation, and how to effectively navigate them. By the end of this webinar, you will have a solid understanding of the CosIng and the INCI, empowering you to create safe and compliant cosmetic products.
On June 16, 2023, the Science and Technology Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of People’s Republic of China sought opinions on 12 mandatory national standards (draft for comments), including the Safety and Technical Standards for Cleaning Products (Draft for Comments). Comments are welcomed before August 16, 2023. The Safety and Technical Standards for Cleaning Products is to replace the GB/T 26396-2011 "Safety and Technical Standards for Cleaning Products", and the nature of the document will be changed from recommended to mandatory. The recommended transitional period is 12 months.
Evolving chemical regulations such as the implementation of One Enterprise, One Product, One QR Code for hazardous chemicals in China and emerging REACH-like regulations in APAC countries are creating new regulatory challenges for chemical companies operating in China in 2023. In addition, the revised Cosmetic Supervision and Administration Regulation (CSAR) brings new opportunities for new cosmetic ingredient innovation but also more compliance obligations on cosmetic ingredients.
Over the past few years, we have seen an increased demand for knowledge of cosmetic regulations around the world.
