    South Korea Tightens its Management of Chemicals

    On August 10, 2023, the South Korean Ministry of Environment (MOE) published Notice No.2023-183 revising the volume of toxic, restricted, prohibited, and permitted substances in accordance with the Regulations on the Implementation of the Chemical Substance Management Act. The revision this time aims to enhance the management of chemicals and safeguard public health and the environment.

    This Notice, came into effect the day after its publication. Details are listed in the table below.

    This revision marks a further step towards the protection of the environment and public security. The measures outlined in the Notice are designed to impose stricter regulations and management on the use of chemical substances in South Korea, laying a solid foundation for sustainable development and ecological conservation.
