CIRS is to Attend Globalchem 2017

Dr. Michael Chang and Mr. Ethan Zheng will attend the Global Chemical Regulations Conference held in Washington, DC scheduled from February 22 to 24.

GlobalChem has been the chemical industry’s premier policy and regulatory conference of its kind for over three decades. This year’s conference shifts the focus to the recently signed Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act (LCSA). The passing of this watershed legislation means that the 2017 conference is even more important as a venue for industry and EPA leaders to share insights and priorities about the new law’s implementation.

GlobalChem 2017 will include discussions about how the industry can support the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's efforts to effectively and efficiently implement key provisions of the LCSA; how the new law has a meaningful impact on consumer and marketplace confidence in the safety of chemicals; and, how the LCSA can serve as a risk-based model for chemical regulation internationally.
