China Fertilizer Labelling Review

Fertilizers sold on Chinese market must meet the requirements of Chinese compulsory national standard GB 18382-2021 Fertilizer marking-Presentation and declaration, which will come into force on 1 May 2022.

The new standard specifies what information needs to be included on the labels and packages of fertilizers sold in China. The standard also prohibits the use of certain claims and misleading statements. Non-compliance will lead to fines or administrative penalities.
