    Introduction to the regulation of alcoholic beverage


    The Administration Measures for Alcohol Circulation have been issued by The Ministry of Commerce of People’s Republic of China on 7 November 2005. This regulation came into force on 1 January 2006 and is administrated by the Ministry of Commerce. In accordance with this regulation, only China based companies are qualified and required to be registered and to obtain alcohol circulation certificate before marketing in China. In the meantime, for any wholesale business events, companies are required to fill in attachment list to record circulation details.
     
    The Alcoholic beverage product should go through inspection and quarantine process by 1) Organoleptic inspection, labeling inspection and hygienic inspection on site, and 2) Microorganism test and physical- chemical test in laboratory. In the case of the products passing all above inspection and tests, the importers will receive a hygiene certificate. With this hygiene certificate, alcoholic beverage products can be then imported into China.
